Free tool

See how your link will look when someone shares it.

When someone shares a link, the title, description and image you set decide how it looks. This free preview shows a large card and a compact one, checks your image's size and shape, and keeps your picture on your own device.

Choose a picture from your device. It stays on your device and is never uploaded.

A close guide. Each platform crops and styles cards its own way, and some keep an older copy of a link until it is refreshed.

How to use it.

  1. 01

Type the share title and description

These are your Open Graph title and description. Keep the title short enough to read at a glance.

  2. 02

    Add the page address

The preview shows the site name under the card, as platforms do.

  3. 03

    Choose your share image

Pick the file from your device. The tool reads its size and shape, and never uploads it.

  4. 04

    Read the verdict

If the shape or size is off, resize the picture to about 1200 by 630 pixels and try again.

Why the preview matters.

A link shared on WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Facebook is often the first time someone meets your business. A clear title and a sharp picture make it look trustworthy, and a missing or cropped image makes it look careless.

The cards are built from a few tags on the page, called Open Graph tags. This tool shows what those tags produce, so you can fix the wording and the picture before you publish. Each platform styles cards in its own way, so treat the preview as a close guide.

Good habits

  • Use an image about 1200 by 630 pixels, with the key content away from the edges, where cards can be cropped
  • Keep text in the image large, because the card is often shown small on a phone
  • Write a title for people, not for search engines, and keep it short
  • Give every important page its own share image, or at least one good default
  • If a platform shows an old preview, use its sharing debugger to refresh the copy it has stored

Questions, answered.

What is an Open Graph tag?

It is a small piece of information in a page's code, such as og:title and og:image, that tells platforms how to show the page when its link is shared. Without it, platforms guess, and often show nothing useful.

What size should a share image be?

About 1200 by 630 pixels, a shape of roughly 1.91 to 1. That shape fills the large card on LinkedIn and Facebook, and it crops cleanly for WhatsApp.

Why does my shared link show an old image?

Platforms store a copy of a link's preview and do not always refresh it when you change the page. Each has a tool to refresh its copy, and a changed image address often forces an update.

Does the share image affect search rankings?

Not directly. It affects how a shared link looks and how many people click it, which matters for social and messaging traffic rather than for search position.

Is the picture I choose uploaded anywhere?

No. The picture is read and shown on your own device only. Nothing is sent to Domeq or any other server.
