See how your page may look in search results, before you publish.
The search snippet is the title, address and description a searcher sees before clicking. This free title tag preview shows your title and meta description as a result on desktop and mobile, counts the characters and flags text that is likely to be cut off.

A close guide, not a promise. Search engines may show a different title or description for a search.
How to use it.
Type the page title
Aim for about 30 to 65 characters, with the main keyword near the start.
Write the meta description
Use 70 to 160 characters. Say what the page offers and why to click.
Add the page address
This shows the address line as it appears in results.
Check both previews
Read the desktop and mobile versions, and shorten anything marked as cut off.
Why does the snippet matter?
The snippet is the first thing a searcher sees of your business. Two pages in the same position can win very different numbers of clicks, depending on which title is clearer and which description gives a reason to choose it.
Search engines sometimes rewrite titles and descriptions to fit the search. A clear, correctly sized snippet makes a rewrite less likely, and it is still your best chance to say it your way. This preview is a guide, and the real result can differ.
Good habits
- Make every title and description unique across the site
- Put the main keyword near the start of the title, and write for a person first
- Write the description as a promise to the reader, with a reason to click
- Do not copy the title into the description, because they sit together in the result
- Check your published pages with Search Console, which shows the searches and clicks each page earns
Keep going.

Questions, answered.
How long should a meta title be?
About 30 to 65 characters. Search results cut titles by width rather than by count, so wide letters use more room. This tool flags a title above 65 characters as likely to be cut off.
How long should a meta description be?
Between 70 and 160 characters is a safe range. Longer text is often cut, and shorter text may leave the result looking thin.
Why does Google show a different title from mine?
Search engines may rewrite a title or description when they judge another one fits the search better. A clear, accurate, correctly sized snippet makes that less likely.
Is the preview exactly what Google will show?
No. It is a close guide to the layout and lengths. The real result depends on the search, the device and the choices the search engine makes at the time.
Does this tool send my text anywhere?
No. It runs entirely in your browser, and the text you type is not sent to Domeq or any other server.
