La Monkk's Face category on a laptop: a Shop By Concern filter (acne, aging, dry skin, glowing skin, hydrating) and product categories beside a grid of face creams and serums

Screenshots: the live store on 20 October 2026. Domeq handed the store over in mid-2026, and La Monkk's team has run it since, so banners, images and products may differ from what Domeq delivered. The layout, templates and features are Domeq's.

The client.

La Monkk makes natural skincare, haircare, fragrance, wellness and home-care products, many from herbs and flowers grown on its own farms. Its line is "From Farmer To Consumer".

It sells online and through showrooms, from face serums and hair oils to perfumes and ready-to-gift sets.

The challenge.

La Monkk already sold online, but the store was holding the brand back: it didn't look like La Monkk, it couldn't show a large catalogue well, and every shipment meant extra manual work.

  • 01

    A dated web app

The old store was a basic custom web app built on .NET and Node. It looked traditional and had few of the features shoppers expect, and its design, photography and content didn't line up with each other or with the brand.

  • 02

    Photos that undersold the products

The product photography was weak and didn't match the brand, so natural, premium products looked ordinary online.

  • 03

    Invisible in search

The site had no SEO in place, so La Monkk's products had little chance of being found by people searching for them.

  • 04

    Every shipment typed in twice

Each order had to be entered again by hand on Delhivery's portal to create its AWB (air waybill) and book a pickup.

The decisions.

  1. WordPress and WooCommerce, chosen by La Monkk from two options.

We put Shopify and WordPress in front of La Monkk with what each would mean for the store. La Monkk chose WordPress with WooCommerce.

Trade-off: It meant writing the shipping, invoicing and coupon rules in code ourselves, so they follow La Monkk's own way of working.

  2. Rebuild from scratch rather than restyle.

The design, the photography, the catalogue and SEO all had to change at once, so the store was designed and built again instead of patched.

  3. A product page layout per category.

A face serum, a perfume and a gift set need different information to sell, so categories get their own product page templates instead of one generic page.

  4. Art-direct the product photography.

Online, the pictures have to carry a natural product's quality, so we directed new photography to match the new design.

What we built.

01

A catalogue shoppers can find their way through

The problem

A large catalogue of natural products is hard to browse, and the old store gave shoppers little help.

What we built

We listed around 200 products in categories up to three levels deep, and added filters by skin or hair concern (acne, ageing, dry skin, glowing skin and more), by category and by price.

Further down La Monkk's Face category: the category tree (face wash, golden glow oil, lip balm, rose water) and a Filter By Price slider beside lip balms and face serums
02

Product pages that do the selling

The problem

A natural product sells on its ingredients and benefits, and shoppers need to see them before they buy.

What we built

Each product page has an image gallery with ingredient visuals, size options, ratings, the brand's certifications and benefit highlights, with add-to-cart and buy-now on desktop and phone. Layouts change by category.

La Monkk's Anti-Stress Aromatherapy Roll-On product page: product photo, benefits, star rating, price, size option and add-to-cart and buy-now buttons
Further down the product page: certification badges, four benefit highlights and a lifestyle banner for the roll-on
03

Delhivery shipping, from inside WooCommerce

The problem

Every order was typed again on Delhivery's portal to get an AWB and book a pickup.

What we built

We built a Delhivery integration into WooCommerce from scratch, on Delhivery's API. The AWB is generated from the order, and the pickup is scheduled from the same place.

  1. 1A customer places and pays for an order on the store.
  2. 2From the order in WooCommerce, the team generates its Delhivery AWB through the Delhivery API.
  3. 3The team chooses the pickup schedule, still in WooCommerce.
  4. 4Delhivery collects the parcel. Nobody retypes the order on Delhivery's portal.
  • 04

    Photography that matches the brand

    The problem

The old photos didn't do the products justice.

    What we built

Domeq art-directed new product photography for the launch, so products were shown consistently across the store.

  • 05

Invoices, shipping and coupons, written in code

    The problem

WooCommerce's default invoices, shipping charges and coupons didn't fit how La Monkk sells.

    What we built

Custom code creates a GST tax invoice for every order automatically, in La Monkk's branded layout. Custom shipping rules give free delivery on orders above ₹259, and custom coupon rules go beyond WooCommerce's defaults.

  • 06

Search, set up from the start

    The problem

The old site had no SEO.

    What we built

The new store has Rank Math SEO, sitemaps for products, categories and pages, breadcrumbs, and product structured data with prices and reviews for search results, plus copy and product content written for the new pages.

The impact.

What changed for La Monkk's team and its customers.

  • 01As delivered, shipping stopped meaning retyping orders: the AWB is generated and the pickup booked from WooCommerce, where the order already is.
  • 02The catalogue structure Domeq built has grown from around 200 products at handover to 220 in 58 categories (counted on 20 October 2026), run by La Monkk's own team.
  • 03As delivered, every order gets a GST tax invoice in La Monkk's own layout, automatically.

Still typing orders into a courier portal?

Domeq builds stores around how you sell and ship, on WooCommerce, Shopify or Next.js. Tell us what slows your store down.

Questions, answered.

Can WooCommerce generate Delhivery AWBs without the Delhivery portal?

Yes. For La Monkk, Domeq connected WooCommerce to Delhivery's API, so the team generates an order's AWB and schedules its pickup from WooCommerce instead of typing orders into Delhivery's portal.

Why did La Monkk choose WooCommerce over Shopify?

Domeq presented both, with what each would mean for the store, and La Monkk chose WordPress with WooCommerce. On WordPress, Domeq wrote the Delhivery integration, GST invoicing and coupon rules as custom code in the store.

How long did rebuilding La Monkk's store take?

About two to three months, covering the design, the product photography, listing around 200 products, the integrations and SEO. A store's timeline depends on its catalogue and how much custom work it needs.

Can WooCommerce create GST invoices automatically?

Yes. Domeq added custom code so La Monkk's store creates a GST tax invoice for every order automatically, in La Monkk's own branded layout.

Does Domeq handle product photography for online stores?

For La Monkk, Domeq art-directed the product photography for the launch, so products were shown consistently across the new store.

Does Domeq still run La Monkk's store?

No. Domeq designed, built and handed over the store in mid-2026, and La Monkk's team has run it since. La Monkk's logo and brand identity are also its own; Domeq designed the store around them.
